Each year, CalNonprofits, in partnership with the California State Assembly and Senate Select Committees on the Nonprofit Sector, invites legislators to recognize a Nonprofit of the Year from their district. The program helps foster stronger relationships between lawmakers and local nonprofit organizations, ensuring that policymakers are more attuned to the needs of the communities nonprofits serve. Since its inception, more than 1,000 California nonprofits have received this honor, celebrated both locally and at a special luncheon at the state Capitol.
We’re so proud to celebrate this year’s Inland Empire Nonprofit of the Year honorees, whose work spans so many of the vital conditions our communities need to thrive. This year’s honorees are addressing a wide range of needs — from supporting veterans, promoting food security, and expanding access to housing and shelter, to advancing health and well-being, preventing violence, protecting animals, and fostering opportunity for children and families. Their efforts reflect the spirit of the Inland Empire Vital Conditions Network, where organizations across sectors are working together to strengthen the full set of conditions — basic needs, humane housing, meaningful work, lifelong learning, a thriving natural world, civic engagement, and a sense of belonging — that support health and well-being for all. We celebrate the contributions of these nonprofits and the many partners across the region who are helping to build a more inclusive and resilient Inland Empire.
